Uscirà a giugno - in occasione del film prodotto per Netflix da Scorsese - l'antologia che raccoglie la prima parte del mitico tour

14 CD per cinque live completi sono il contenuto di "Bob Dylan - The Rolling Thunder Revue: The1975 Live Recordings", cofanetto in uscita il prossimo 7 giugno.

Il box set documenta alcune tappe del celebre Rolling Thunder Revue, tour di Bob Dylan partito nel 1975 che portò il cantautore in giro per luoghi insoliti con un carrozzone di ospiti vari di ogni tipo per live che duravano fino a quattro ore. Joan Baez, Mick Ronson, T-Bone Burnett, Ramblin'Jack Elliott, Joni Mitchell sono solo alcuni dei numerosi artisti che presero parte a questa sorta di carovana creativa che viaggiava per gli Stati Uniti tra apparizioni improvvise e show molto vicini nella presentazione al mondo del circo.

Dylan, leader della band, era riuscito a mettere insieme musicisti provenienti da vari background e sensibilità e li aveva trasformati in un’unica unità musicale sul palco.

La raccolta comprende ben 148 brani, di cui oltre 100 mai pubblicati in precedenza. Incluso nel cofanetto c'è un libretto di 52 pagine con foto rare e mai viste prima dei live ed un saggio del romanziere/musicista Wesley Stace. In concomitanza con l'uscita del cofanetto in CD, verrà ristampata in vinile The Bootleg Series Volume 5, in formato 3LP con booklet di 64 pagine, disponibile per la prima volta dopo la pubblicazione originaria del 2002.

Il cofanetto esce in concomitanza della release del film "Rolling Thunder - Revue - A Bob Dylan Story By Martin Scorsese" firmato dal famoso regista per uno speciale che uscirà in anteprima su Netflix il 12 giugno.
