Davide Bowie, per la prima volta il live a Glastonbury del 2000

L'esibizione al celebre festival vedrà per la prima volta la luce sia in audio che in video

Il NME aveva definito la performance di David Bowie sul Pyramid Stage  di Glastonbury nel 2000 come la migliore mai vista in un festival, ora tutti potranno vedere e ascoltare l'esibizione dell'iconico artista britannico.

Grazie a una partnership tra Glastonbury Festival, Parlophone e BBC "Glastonbury 2000" sarà disponibile dal 30 novembre in vari formati: 2CD+DVD, 3LP, 2CD e in tutti i formati digitali sia in risoluzione standard che alta. Il live del 25 giugno 2000 era stato già mostrato due anni fa proprio a Worthy Farm, sede di quello che è uno dei festival più famosi del mondo, e trasmesso in TV per soli 30 minuti. Il disco conterrà anche un artwork aggiornato, foto inedite e un diario scritto dallo stesso Bowie per la rivista Time Out in cui si raccontano le ore che hanno preceduto il suo slot da headliner durante il quale suonò 21 brano con una setlist decisamente incentrata sulle numerosissime hit della sua carriera: 

"A partire dal 1990 ho attraversato il resto del 20 esimo secolo senza dover fare esibizioni con grandi hits. Sì, sì, lo so che ho fatto Quattro o cinque hits negli ultimi show ma ho resistito piuttosto bene credo.. bene, canzoni conosciute ammasseranno il prato di Glastonbury quest’anno. Beh, con un paio di stravaganze ovviamente”.
