Il nuovo singolo dei Kings of Leon si chiama Going Nowhere

La band promuove il social distancing con una nuova canzone accompagnata da un video voce e chitarra

In questo periodo difficile sono tornati a farsi sentire anche i Kings of Leon, che ieri, 31 marzo, hanno messo a disposizione dei fan l’inedito “Going Nowhere”. Si tratta del primo inedito della band di Nashville, Tennesse, da quattro anni circa, da quando nel 2016 la band pubblicava il suo settimo lavoro discografico, “Walls”.

A febbraio, la band ha pubblicato i dettagli di un tour nel Regno Unito che si dovrebbe tenere questa estate, tra cui una data a Finsbury Park il 28 giugno, dove da programma dovrebbero essere raggiunti sul palco da Courteeners, Cage The Elephant, Inhaler, Soccer Mommy e the Big Moon. La famiglia Followill inoltre ha in programma per il loro tour date a Newcastle, Leeds e Dublino; chiaramente tutti questi spettacoli ora sono in dubbio a causa della pandemia globale di coronavirus che ha causato la cancellazione di una serie di eventi massicci come Glastonbury e All Points East.

La canzone dei Kings of Leon è accompagnata da una clip minimalista in bianco e nero, diretta da Casey McGrath, nata dalle riprese fatte al frontman del gruppo Caleb Followill mentre esegue il brano in una stanza vuota di Nashville. Si legge nella descrizione del video: “State al sicuro. State a casa. Ci vediamo il prima possibile”.
