A un anno dal quarto album dei Libertines, Doherty torna con un nuovo lavoro solista: "Feel Better Alive"
Peter Doherty ha annunciato l'uscita di un suo nuovo album solista intitolato "Felt Better Alive".
L'artista inglese, voce e chitarra dei Libertines e tra gli artisti più poetici e controversi della sua generazione, pubblicherà il disco il prossimo 16 maggio attraverso la sua etichetta Strap Originals.
Ad anticiparlo il primo singolo, la titletrack "Feel Better Alive" rilasciato in contemporanea con l'annuncio.
Lo scorso anno i Libertines hanno pubblicato il quarto album in studio "All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade".
Il ritorno di Peter Doherty con Feel Better Alive
Si chiama "Feel Better Alive" il nuovo album di Peter Doherty in uscita il prossimo 16 maggio per la sua etichetta Strap Originals.
Il disco è anticipato dalla titletrack descritta come 'gloriosa e turbolenta'.
Un album, si legge in una nota, 'cosparso di radiosa giocosità, a tratti quasi innocenza, percorsa dal tipico senno melodico di Peter Doherty, dal suo eccentrico realismo poetico e dal dono della narrazione visiva".
"Felt Better Alive" sarà disponibile su CD, vinile da 12" in varianti colorate in edizione limitata, doppio vinile deluxe, cassetta e download digitale con articoli esclusivi e firmati dallo store online ufficiale di Peter.

Le canzoni sono nate nel villaggio della Normandia dove vivono Peter e la sua famiglia, un contesto rurale nel quale il cantante e chitarrista dei Libertines ha collaborato con Mike Moore, produttore e musicista già produttore di Baxter Dury e chitarrista nella band di Liam Gallagher.
"È piuttosto vivace, piuttosto country", ha detto Doherty della titletrack. "'Dredging the mouth of the Humber' è un verso di Hancock (riguardo allo zucchero coagulato e spolverato sul fondo di una ciotola di cornflakes).
Sarà disponibile anche un disco bonus in edizione limitata, "Bootstrap Sessions", in vinile, con brani tratti dalle famigerate bootleg session di Peter risalenti al periodo compreso tra il 2003 e il 2007.
L'album da 12 tracce include i brani 'Killamangiro', 'Ballad of Grimaldi', 'Lady Don't Fall Backwards'/'Bollywood To Batersea' e 'Hooligans on E'.
