Il giovane bluesman a luglio per uno show
Arriva in Italia per una sola data a luglio il blues rock di Marcus King che abbiamo imparato ad apprezzare con la Top 20 di Radiofreccia "The Well".
Un solo appuntamento estivo per The Marcus King Band previsto per il 12 luglio al Parco Tittoni di Desio (MB) per 'Hello Folks Sessions', la rassegna organizzata da Barley Arts per presentare alcuni dei migliori giovani del cantautorato americano.Lo show si terrà in un orario particolare, alle 17.00, per consentire la visione - attraverso gli schermi posizionati nel parco - della finale della Coppa del Mondo di calcio.
I biglietti per lo show di Marcus King saranno in vendita dalle 10.00 di domani, venerdì 13 marzo, su Ticketone e Vivaticket.
The Marcus King Band si sono formati in South Carolina nel 2013 grazie al prodigioso figlio del bluesman Marvin King, Marcus, che ha iniziato a maneggiare la chitarra e i sentimenti sin dalla più giovane età, facendosi accompagnare in quest'avventura da Jack Ryan alla batteria e alle percussioni, da Stephen Campbell al basso, da Matt Jennings alla tastiera e organo, da Dean Mitchell al sax e da Justin Johnson alla tromba, trombone e cori. A soli 24 anni, Marcus King ha già la maturità del bluesman consumato, una passione che ha seguito da sempre: "La musica è diventata la mia babysitter, la mia miglior amica, il mio amore" ha dichiarato recentemente in un'intervista al The Sun.
"La musica mi fa sentire al sicuro e mi aiuta a dar senso alla cose - aggiunge il giovane songwriter - I miei problemi mentali, le mie manie, vengono calmate da una sola cosa, la musica. Si tratta dell'unica cosa che non ti manderà mai vibrazioni negative.
Dopo aver formato The Marcus King Band a soli 15 anni mentre frequentava la scuola e dopo aver già pubblicato con loro tre album - "Soul Insight" (2015), "The Marcus King Band" (2016) e "Carolina Confessions" (2018) - a gennaio è uscito l'ultimo lavoro dal titolo "El Dorado".
