Mark Knopler, in arrivo il cofanetto "The Studio Albums 2009 - 2018"
Il guitar hero ex Dire Straits annuncia il cofanetto contenente la seconda parte della sua carriera solista . Ascolta l'inedito 'Back In The Day'
UMG ha annunciato l'uscita di un nuovo cofanetto che raccoglie tutti i suoi album da solista pubblicati tra il 2009 e il 2018.
Il box set, chiamato "Mark Knopfler - The Studio Albums 2009-2018", uscirà ad ottobre e sarà disponibile in diversi formati.
Si tratta della seconda operazione di questo tipo dopo che, lo scorso anno, è stata pubblicata un'altra raccolta contenente i dischi pubblicati nel primo periodo della sua carriera solista cominciata dopo lo scioglimento dei Dire Straits nel 1995.
Il nuovo cofanetto di Mark Knopfler
Uscirà il 7 ottobre per UMG "Mark Knopfler - The Studio Albums 2009-2018", cofanetto contenente tutta la seconda parte della carriera solista dell'ex leader dei Dire Straits.
La prima parte, "Mark Knopfler - The Studio Albums 1996 - 2007" era stata pubblicata lo scorso anno.
La nuova raccolta del guitar hero scozzese include gli album Get Lucky (2009), Privateering (2012), Tracker (2015) ed il suo ultimo lavoro Down The Road Wherever (2018), oltre ad una raccolta di B-side in studio, Bonus Track e 2 brani inediti: ‘Back In The Day’e ‘Precious Voice From Heaven’.
Insieme all'annuncio dell'album, Knopfler ha condiviso anche il primo di questi inediti, Back in The Day.
Mark Knopfler, cantautore, produttore discografico e compositore, è uno dei musicisti di maggior successo che il Regno Unito abbia mai avuto ed è spesso citato come uno dei più grandi chitarristi di tutti i tempi. È diventato famoso per la prima volta negli anni '80 come leader dei Dire Straits, che hanno realizzato molte delle canzoni iconiche di un’epoca (tra cui "Sultans Of Swing", "Money For Nothing", "Romeo And Juliet" e "Walk Of Life"). I Dire Straits sono stati in tour per l'ultima volta nel 1992 e Mark ha intrapreso un nuovo percorso come artista solista. Negli anni successivi Knopfler ha pubblicato nove album da solista e ha continuato a fare tour in tutto il mondo con la sua band, deliziando ovunque il pubblico. Nel corso degli anni, Mark ha inoltre scritto le musiche per diversi film, tra cui “Local Hero”, “Cal”, “The Princess Bride”, “Last Exit To Brooklyn” e “Wag The Dog”; ha suonato e registrato con molti grandi artisti tra cui Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Tina Turner, Randy Newman e il compianto Chet Atkins.
