I Red Hot Chili Peppers hanno pubblicato a sorpresa nella notte italiana un nuovo singolo intitolato 'Poster Child'. Così come già fatto per 'Black Summer', i RHCP hanno condiviso senza preavviso il nuovo singolo estratto dal nuovo album "Unlimited Love".
Il dodicesimo album in studio dei Red Hot Chili Peppers sarà pubblicato il prossimo primo aprile.
Poster Child è il nuovo singolo dei Red Hot Chili Peppers
Circa un mese fa i Red Hot Chili Peppers hanno annunciato il ritorno con "Unlimited Love", il nuovo album in uscita il primo aprile. Per farlo, la band di Anthony Kiedis ha pubblicato a sorpresa, nella notte italiana, il singolo 'Black Summer' che segna l'ennesimo rientro nel gruppo di John Frusciante.
Ora il quartetto di Los Angeles ha fatto la stessa mossa condividendo senza preavviso un nuovo estratto da "Unlimited Love" intitolato 'Poster Child'.
Il brano è accompagnato da un video psichedelico pubblicato solo sulla pagina Facebook dei Red Hot Chili Peppers ed è molto, molto funky. 'Poster Child' è un funky più vicino alle sonorità 'chilled' R&B che a quelle della disco, un brano dilatato in stile anni '70.

Poster Child è cantata da Anthony Kiedis nel suo stile inconfondibile, un po' rappato e un po' parlato e sembra voler affrontare l'influenza degli idoli da copertina sulle persone, nonostante tutto. All'interno del testo di Poster Child ci sono tantissimi riferimenti alla cultura pop, ai film e alla scena musicale del passato. Il ritorno dei RHCP con Unlimited Love
Si chiamerà "Unlimited Love" il nuovo e dodicesimo album dei Red Hot Chili Peppers che sarà pubblicato il 1° aprile.
"Unlimited Loved" è il primo album con il chitarrista John Frusciante dal 2006 e il primo con il produttore e collaboratore di lunga data Rick Rubin dal 2011.
Unlimited Love rappresenta l'unione in un unico spirito di quattro anime individuali che ancora esplorano senza paura il futuro della loro eterna amicizia e unione musicale, si legge in una nota.
L'album è stato anticipato dal primo singolo 'Black Summer', attualmente nella Top 20 di Radiofreccia.
Il rinnovato 'matrimonio' tra i quattro Red Hot storici è risultato essere fondamentale per dare alla band californiana una nuova linfa vitale
In Unlimited Love, raccontano, ci sono molte sfaccettature diverse, dal surf rock, alle atmosfere beatlesiane, una serie di rimandi e riferimenti che sembrano aver rinnovato completamente il sound dei RHCP:"Ci sentiamo freschi, come una nuova band", ha detto Frusciante in un'intervista concessa al NME, "C'è molto meno del mio ego rispetto a prima e credo che lo stesso valga per tutti. Si trattava di voler davvero dare una parte di noi agli altri, di essere entusiasti di ascoltare ciò che stavano proponendo gli altri. Prima, come in By The Way o Mother's Milk, capitava che una persona si sentisse soffocata da un'altra. Questa volta mi è parso ci prendessimo cura gli uni degli altri".
